Welfare Officer Wanted
Headley Youth FC is seeking a dedicated individual to play a vital role in supporting safeguarding and welfare across our teams. This is an important and rewarding position at the heart of our club.
About the role
The Club Welfare Officer as a key person in creating safe, fun, and inclusive environments. For clubs with under-18 teams, this role is essential to ensure compliance with safeguarding training and DBS requirements.
What you will do

Serve as the main point of contact for all safeguarding and welfare matters.

Promote a safe, positive, and respectful environment for all children and young people.

Support coaches, volunteers, and committee members in following best safeguarding practices.

Liaise with the County FA when necessary.

Ensure the club stays on track with welfare, safeguarding training, and DBS requirements.
Who we are looking for
We need a candidate who is:

Approachable, calm, and trustworthy.

Organized and capable of handling sensitive matters with appropriate care.

An excellent communicator.

Passionate about helping children enjoy football in a safe environment.

Willing to complete relevant FA safeguarding training and the DBS process if these are not already in place.
